Um.I wouldn't call the Soulless Pacifist ending a happy ending by any means. In the STP ending we see two scenes, either the scene of Frisk turning into Chara after Toriel leaves. From that point on, every True Pacifist ending is changed and this can not be reverted. The pacifist ending may still be a happy ending, but it it's not a happy ending for you. So, at the end of a genocide run, you give up your soul to Chara and what not. Your story was over the moment you gave your soul to him. When you do the pacifist run and get to the part where you choose to stay with Toriel, it's revealed you're no longer you. This means you have thus become one as well, everything you do is for your own amusement. It's established during the pacifist run in the true lab that Chara might be a sociopath, someone who enjoys inflicting pain on others for their own amusement. You can still befriend people after the pacifist-neutral end if you haven’t. These two have differences, but both allow you to still get the True Ending because the pre-requisite is to not kill anyone. Spare everyone without befriending/only befriending some. This changes the outlook of the game, where you're described as a cold, expressionless person. Spare everyone and befriend everyone you can.
